USB PC Pad Question ? Re: Robotron....
« on: October 30, 2007, 06:18:57 pm »
Hi Guys.....

Brilliant links for some hard to get items on here :)

Just built (Well woodwork nearly done) a 70%Fullsize Williams Cab.... Will post pics when I come back from hols

Keeping this one simple....  Will be building a fancy multi machine after this is finished....

What do you suggest
(Ebay related) I use for a USB Gamepad to hack for the controls..... Remember this is just a 2 Joy Cab with 1P & 2P

So cheap controller only, may also be used for the odd game of Pac man etc :)

The only game pad that  I have hacked is the gravis game pad.  It worked great until you plugged 2 into the same joystickport then things got ugly.   Newer gamepads that run via usb might not have the same types of problems but when it comes down to it you might just think about the 20 bucks for the econo encoders that can be had.

Thanks CW.... Do you have a link to a 20 Buck one.... Thats pretty cheap and at least it is done right....

I dont mind paying £10-£25 (In UK I am etc) for this.... But it seems a shame to spend a lot more for 2 Joysticks and 1P & 2P

This is a bit over your budget (Think its 30) but a chap on ebay.co.uk is selling very decent encoders.
