Best high score games?
« on: October 29, 2007, 12:17:01 pm »
I tried this out on the KLOV forums, but I'm not getting enough of a response. We'll try you guys.  ;D

I'm sure this gets asked often, but the search didn't turn anything up. Anyway, in my little home arcade I've got some of those black dry erase boards with neon markers for recording high scores. For a lot of my games I have to use MAME, but it's still fun.

So, what games are the most fun for chasing high scores? What games will be compelling enough to make them permanent fixtures on the high score board?

Right now I have my dedicated cabs on the list (plus Galaga because I made a run last night). I have room on the two boards for 20 or so games, but I could easily pick up another couple of boards to let me track 50 high scores or so.

List 'em if you got 'em!

for me bubble bobble, so many random factors that can lead to high scores, awesome as a 2 player head to head to try and get the highest, leads to some sneaky gaming.
got COLOR codes from projects, post them here

add stuff to the uk wiki section

Any game is a good high score game.  Put up a score, people will try to beat it.
