Setting up cps3
« on: October 27, 2007, 04:13:17 pm »
I downloaded a torrent with all the games and unzipped everything BUT the games still don't want to load, they say they are missing files.  Is there a "How To" setup on the Cps3 emulator?  Everything is there (I think) all the chd's are there.  It's just a matter of getting the thing running.

cps3 works in mame now.  Put the rom in the roms folder and the CHD in it's own folder inside the roms folder.  Make sure the folder with the CHD in it has the same name as the rom.

Example:

c:\arcade\roms\sfiii.zip
c:\arcade\roms\sfiii\sfiii.chd

I've never been able to get regular Mame to run, so i've always used Mame32.

They have a stand alone cps3 emulator, that's the one I was trying to get running.  Unless the new Mame32 supports cps3.

The ONLY problem I had once I updated it.  Is alot of my working roms, no longer worked, so I just kept the older version of Mame32, because all the games I liked ran.  Unless it's a matter of downloading a NEWER version of the rom, which if I had a website I could actually get that data from.  I'd be more than happy to update everything.

Please let me know.
