Individual Tokens Wanted
« on: October 26, 2007, 04:00:17 pm »
There is a nice blank spot on the wall next to where where I plan on placing my MAME cabinet.  I also have a large picture frame.  I plan on making a display by lining the frame with black velvet/felt and inserting all the tokens I have collected from my adventures (after I shine them up of course).

The only problem is that I haven't managed to collect enough tokens.  I wanted to save tokens from all the arcades I have visited in my life, but the temptation to drop my last 25 cents into some glowing noise making contraption often proved too difficult to resist.

So, does anyone want to sell or trade some individual cool looking tokens?  I'll put up pictures of my dupes later.

I'm going to buy the previous BYOAC and MAME tokens, even if they are $4 a piece.   :-\
I've got some bids on ebay for a few lots, but it's hard to see just what is in them.  (Please don't snipe me  :) )

Maybe we could have a great token trade off and make a mailing list where people could send off some of their extra custom tokens for a surprise from some one else.  It would be fun to see what randomly showed up every once in a while.  I'm a sucker for packages in the mail, though.  I look at the UPS guy like he's Santa Claus.

Any other ideas?

I probably have a few chuck-e-cheese and billy bob's tokens. You need those?

I got one I have been trying to look up info on.....Captain Lightning and the FireFlys. I'll trade one for one.
Anyone know info on Captain Lightning other than it being a comic book hero.

I'd like a captain lightning token to go along with my collection of 90+ or so different tokens if you wanna trade.  PM me (anyone else as well), I have some odd duplicates I would be willing to trade off for some I don't have.  If there's enough interest I'll sort them out and make a list of the extras I have.  thx! --Erich

I finally got around to scanning my duplicates.  It's more useful and easier than making a list.  I will be posting all the tokens that I have without duplicates on my site shortly.  There are about 6X as many of those.  I would be willing to trade some of them, but would need something nice in return.

*Warning some of my tokens are NOT SAFE FOR WORK/CHILDREN*

When I was 16 and worked at Chuck E. Cheese's, people used to drop nudie tokens in the games all the time.  Dunno if it was an accident or people are just sick.

By the way, I would be willing to clean up any tokens that anyone wants and I do not expect the same in return.  I have documented my cleaning process here:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=21446.0

There was an arcade in Fargo called Bump and Tilt. I'd love to get ahold of a whole mess of their tokens. I spent a fortune in there as a kid. :)

I can offer you FunSpot tokens, currently can only find a 1999 one but I'm sure have more or can get more if you want different or more years.
I also have Aladins Castle & Namco Tokens around here somewhere.  I don't recall if those had different years or versions...
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
