WTB: Star Wars Monitor Bezel Shroud and Control Panel and more
« on: October 21, 2007, 02:57:41 am »
Hi all,

Does anyone have any Atari Star Wars cabinets parts like the plastic monitor surround, control panel (without yoke is fine), speaker grill, monitor glass, reproduction artwork (for sides, front, etc.), etc. that you'd like to sell? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I have an extra shroud and glass but they are big to ship. Where are you? What is your offer?

Hi fa001, I just bought a shroud, but thanks for the reply. Perhaps I may just want the glass. I'm in a suburb of Chicago, IL.

Hi Brent, thanks for the links--I had already purchased the same shroud of the link. And Quarterarcade only had the artwork but no parts.

Still looking for a control panel. I'm guessing it'd be pretty challenging to build from scratch.

Thanks!

Monitor glass ?

1) is it real glass on an upright ?
2) isn't that simply a general piece of glass/plexi ?

It is on the Cockpit....

Well one of the things that I have learned in this hobby is that there is quite a variety of things one can find once a cabinet is opened up. There are often different versions of a game and endless field modifications made by operators. But all three setup of the standup StarWars that I have seen have glass and it is kind of a blue tint.

I have a control panel I believe, and if I still have it I don't want it. Let me look.

Hi Saint,

Thanks a lot for your time. I definitely still need it!

I did forget to mention that I have an upright, not cockpit.

Hi Fred,

Now looking closer of multiple pics of other people's cabs, I think that I may have bought the wrong shroud. It seems that the cockpit shroud has a different decal  than the upright one (on the left of the monitor). The upright left and right decal seem to mirror each other. If so, I may buy yours.I will send you a PM.

Thanks again.

Mine (cockpit) has mirrored decals on left and right, BUT the left has a bit more of the artificial dirt/aging.

Here are the part numbers:

Cockpit (Irish):
Left decal:   040532-04 Rev.A
Right decal: 040532-06 Rev.A

Hi Level42,

Thanks for the info. Actually, your posting "Topic: Star Wars Cockpit......SHE LIVES !!!!!" is actually what made me wonder if I bought the wrong shroud. In your close-up pic of the shroud, that left decal looks like the one on the shroud I purchased. However, the right decal on mine looks different. And in every pic of an upright I've seen looks like mirrored art on both sides--and that's what concerned me.  I've attached a pic of the one I am getting soon.
