Source for smooth head bolts

Anyone know where I can find low-profile, smooth head (carriage) bolts?

I ordered a bunch of black ones from divemaster but they aren't smooth. There are some raised numbers and letters on the top.

I've seen a few sellers such as QuarterArcade and TwistedQuarter but the pictures they have on their sites aren't clear enough to tell if the bolt heads are smooth or raised.

I have a few great ones that came with a used coin door I got off ebay some time ago, so I know they exist.

Really? They've all been smooth when I've ordered from DM.

The lizardlick ones look perfect, BUT, I need at least 1 inchers for the cp and at least 3 inchers for the tb.

I just got a bunch from DiveMaster last week. The long ones have DF 3074 on the surface and the short ones have KT 307A. It's not horrible, but you can see it, and more importantly you can feel it.

Any other sources? Black or silver/chrome would work.

This might sound cheesy, but I got plain finished ones at Sears Hardware and blacked them out with a permanent marker. They actually look really good, although you might be after that black anodized look.

Grade 2 bolts have no markings on them. They're the weakest grade, but fine for home cab use.

I have put the standard bolts available from hardware stores in the chuck on my drill press and used a fine metal file to "machine" off the raised letters and then follow up with a couple of different grades of sandpaper..

A couple of light coats of satin black from a spray can and they look really nice - I push the bolts into a piece of stryofoam to hold them whilst spraying.

I've now checked Lowes, Home Depot, and a couple of privately owned places to no avail. I will check Ace and Osh and if they don't have it I'll go with Hoops suggestion.

I have typically used high gloss spray paint, but pr0k has another method:

Black nail polish works pretty well for me.
