Anyone tried a Dreamcast through a JPAC?
« on: October 16, 2007, 06:53:10 pm »
Does anyone know if I can use a dreamcast VGA box (something like http://www.racketboy.com/store/dreamcast-vga-box-svideo-av.htm)  to display dreamcast on an arcade monitor through my JPAC?

In theory it seems like it should work but I was wondering if anyone has tried it.

With the Dreamcast, I think you're supposed to bypass the JPAC entirely.

Same thing here

I'd almost rather go through the JPAC so I could more easily swap between my SSF2X board and the dreamcast.

If I managed to run it through the JPAC thats all I would have to swap.

If I hack a VGA cable I have to swap that, as well as still converting the controls through the JPAC.

It looks like what i'm trying to do is managable but it might end up being a bit more confusing than I was hoping
