marquee light wiring
« on: March 19, 2002, 10:37:00 am »
Not long ago I saw some instructions for re-wiring a 15" marquee light to make it an 18".  I've got a cab that needs some wiring and am looking for marquee wiring diagrams, but my computer crashed last week and I lost  the bookmark for that site.  Any ideas??
thanks

The link to that mod is on the index page of the Bob Roberts web site.

It points to:

http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/fixture.html

Hope that helps.

I took the easy way out.  I went to Home Depot and picked up a couple of 18" under cabinet flourescent lights (SKU#380970).  They were only $7 each and work marvelously.

I did the Home Depot thing for one mame cabinet, but the one I'm working on had the fixture and everything.  All I needed to know was where the wires connect.

On a similar note, I think someone mentioned on here before that you could just cut a cord (like an extension cord) and wire the two wires straight to the two prongs on a flourescent light.  Is this true, because I'd like to be able to light my marquee up.
