mala and yoke issue [Resolved]
« on: October 05, 2007, 09:25:59 pm »
Hi Everybody,

I need a little help
My Star Wars yoke works perfectly in Mame32 with the joystick deadzone set to 0
but when i run it through Mala it acts as if the joystick deadzone is set to the default ( .35)
anybody have any ideas?
Is Mala not recognising the changes to the controller settings in Mame32?
It's kinda weird because I thought it did :dunno

any ideas would be much appreciated

Yeah, Don't use a FE with mame32.  ;)   Use command line mame

As many others have reported things don't always work properly  :(

I was afraid of that
Command line scares me  :-[
but I know it is a cleaner solution so i guess I'll have to bite the bullet and learn it
know any good tutorials?

I think you would simply download it and use it ..... do not really need to do any special stuff unless you are interested in tweaking the settings for special cases.  Although this should be easy as well since a lot of people on this board can help you with this by tweaking the mame.ini file (if required).

I Installed a newer version of Mame32 and it works now
I'm still going to go with the the command line version eventually
but right now I'm just testing out all the controls so I can start my first cab (Yeah!)

thanks for the input!

Kewl.

Perhaps you could have both on your cab and just don't load up mame32 anymore when you feel more confident
