Puckman Coktail expert?
« on: October 02, 2007, 03:37:32 pm »
Hi,

I just got a puckman cocktail cab.  i did some research and i discover that Namco seems to have produced 3 kind of Puckman cocktail cab . each cab having different shape.

One of these cab , has been produced also by kareteco (under Namco license??) .  I think my cab is one of these.  But i don't know how to determine for sure it is a Namco or a Karateco.  Do you have an idea, how i can find that for sure?

here a picture.

Thanks for your help.

I'd say it's an original  Namco. Do you have more pictures?

 Cornchip.

Modified post .....now I'm not certain.  I have seen one of these recently. It had 'Namco' below the stick. I can't really see that in your picture. The cabinet does look identical.

Modified again. I think I have it. The cabinet is Kareteco (early) with the control from a (later)  Kareteco Puckman. Not a Namco. The speaker slots are different (larger than a Namco original). It looks like it's in fairly decent condition. Wish I had one.   :P

I don't think the CPO has been changed. But the difference you noticed is may be , this cab is a version imported in France.

Concerning speaker slots , would you have a picture or something of the namco original?

I will post more picture soon (just have to resize some picture).  I have the serial number too.

@hbm*rais   ,  yes ArcadeFever is right , it is a Sega monaco GP.  (1980)
