What's the current status of "top switchable" 4/8-way sticks?
« on: September 24, 2007, 10:52:49 am »
Hello from Maine,

A buddy of mine has an interest in a top switchable stick, without a "short throw".

I don't know a thing about them, I still use Happ 8-ways for all my games. So I looked at GGG's website but that appears to be "short throw".

So what is available right now?

Also, what about removable restrictors? Last I heard they are not longer available. Does anyone have the dimensions of one? A person could have a machinist make one from those dimensions.

A template could be made from a scanned restrictor...

We could probably make our own restrictors out of hard plastic with a dremmel...

Thanks,
Craig

Tell him to take a look at the U360 from Ultimarc... dynamically programmable joystick for 4-way/8-way/2-way/flight stick/mouse/etc.

No easily removable restrictors however.

Thanks, I'll tell him that.

But now I'm thinking about making a restrictor for Happ sticks! Can I get a scan of a restrictor? I'll use it as a template and make one (or have my machinist make a batch for us BYOAC'ers)

Cheers,
Craig

It would be cool to get a restrictor for competitions...

What ever happened to the Mag sticks and t-sticks that were switchable from the top.

I thought they got good reviews...?

I won't be ready to spent the $$$ on 360's until a few CP's down the road...

As far as I know, the top switchable are "Euro style / short throw" that most Happ stick enthusiasts hate.

Get me a scan of a restrictor and I'll have my machinist make a bunch!!!

Cheers,
Craig
