I've noticed that many firestorms have been started here by people modifying their posts. Is it possible to allow a link or something that will let people view the unedited post? Just curious.

We don't have that feature. Edit ability is contained to a user group or a board, but not any further. Nor is there a version control kept on edits (i.e. Wiki-fied). We currently have edit turned on for all boards/users.
