Millipede Cabinet help
« on: September 16, 2007, 12:16:37 am »
Hey guys,
I'm helping out a friend who just picked up a millipede that's all complete except for the marquee frame. I guess that's what you would call it - pic enclosed of the area it goes. Does anyone know of someone parting out a millipede cab with this item for sale, or some good pics of the "frame" off the cab and some measurements to make one. I know its basically a wood frame with a hole in it for the glass to sit in then the overlay over it - which he has the overlay.
Thanks!!
~V

Thats original, and it's complete minus the marquee, millipede used a roll over type marquee that was like a sticker and stuck on.  What I did for my multi millipede was just added a piece of wood to the top to make a box and then took the brackets off a centipede and it works and looks good.

Thanks for the quick reply! I actually told him to do that, but he didn't like the "centipede" look. Says he wants to do a restoration, and be pretty close to original (at least visually) that it can.
What I'm thinking of doing is taking 2 boards, and angle cutting them together, then using a jigsaw and router to cut and step the hole for some lexan, then recover it. I was hoping for some measurements though. Like I said - I'm "helping" him with this, so if he wants it original, id like to stay with that.
Thanks!
V~

Just buy a repro marquee and put it on there like it should be.

Hes already got the repro marquee, just no where to stick it too since the box or frame is missing
