Oh and don't waste your money on that ---smurfing--- tempered glass either. I use ordinary glass.

I was talking to my glass man and showed him some pics of what all the glass I was buying was being used for. He said straight up '---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, you wouldn't need hardened glass for that, just use normal stuff'. He then got a small piece of glass and placed it on the cutting desk and smacked it with his hand and it didn't break. He said because its going on a flat surface it is very difficult to break.The difference in price is quite a lot too.
