Glad to see all came out well.
This post reminded me of all the hooks I have had hooked in myself in my life. Having a creek behind my home which lead down to a private lake, we spent nearly every free moment fishing.
Had I seen your post before the problem, I would have suggested pushing it through if needed rather than pulling it out when barb is stuck. I recall trying to get a hook loose when I was 12 or so and having it break loose and shoot right up under the cuticle. I was like sh*t, I can't believe that landed there.
Had several others in various places throughout my young life.
Then I get older, have kids, etc.
I accompanied my son in his younger years in cub scouts. We were finished for the day after bank fishing in the rain. I tell the several boys with me to stop casting and start to move up the bank behind them. Two of them fail to listen, cast and one hooks me square in the ear.
I had my own treble hook bling hooked good. Snipped the line, got back to camp, and proceeded to get out the wire snips to get it out.
Thanks for sharing....it took me down memory lane.
