Hi guys iv been using a Hagstrom encoder now for some time but lately iv notcied that its been giving off a lot of heat.
I think iv established why this is but need to find a solution. Iv modified an old Golden tee upright cabinet installed a arcade vga monitor works fine. The electronic coin door has been examined and I have established which connection is the coin button and this is where the problem is.
I think that due to the fact that the electronic coin door has a current 5v I believe running into it to make it work that when I set up the wire to the coin register and run it into the endoder terminal the current must be going through the encoder there fore creating the encoder to produce heat. well this is the only explanation I can think of.
Can you guys tell me if my theory is right and if it is how do I get round this problem
Thanks guys hope you can help me.
