Do they make a cable that allows me to use a newer SATA hard drive with an older mother board with IDE hard drive inputs or whatever the older hard drive interface is called.

Even inf you could, I don't see the point of buying a SATA drive to use it at IDE speeds.

A better option would be a sata pci card.  Then you could have the speed of sata on the computer you are using.

I highly recommend SATA PCI cards; I've put them in all of my older IDE machines and have never had a bit of trouble. You get the speed, convenience, and futureproofing (FWIW) of SATA in a non-SATA machine.

are all sata connectors the same?  I am looking for a PCI card with internal sata 2 connectors for cheap.  Will sata 150 work with a sata 2 HD and just run slower?

So this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16812206001

should work with this HD
