G'day from Australia
« on: September 10, 2007, 04:26:04 pm »
Hi,newbie here, been reading this forum for quite some time, and thought I would say hello.

It's been a dream of mine to build and arcade machine for quite some time.My family and I emigrated from the UK to Australia a couple of months ago,and I now have a large garage to start knocking one together.I ordered all my controls the other day,so there is no going back now !!!

I was wondering if there is any aussie's using this forum ? We are currently at Taylors Lakes in Melbourne.

Welcome aboard. For some reason there are lots of Americans, Canuckistanians, Brits, and Austrailians here. Not many Icelandians, Antarcticans, or Mexi-cans (as opposed to Mexi-can'ts).
I've got a fever...

Thanks for the welcomes lads.Wasnt aware of the aussie site,Ive registered and waiting on an admin to let me in !!

Still at the planning stages just now.I am working from the Project Arcade book, and have ordered most of my controls.Reckon I would build the CP first and get it talking to the custom pc Ive stuck together for the purpose.

I used to be an Australian, that count?
Now I'm living in Florida as an Army Veteran, I'll probably make my way back there some day.
Last time I was in Australia I did see a Mame machine in someones garage as I casually passed their house. So I'm sure there are lots out there, just gotta find them.
