Welp this is what I got in Charlotte, which was a joke
« on: September 08, 2007, 02:51:15 pm »
There was about 10 vids there and 8 pinballs, 2 redemption games, and
a juke box.  I got a dymano street fighter 2 for $230, and a
redemption game for $60.  That was a bad auction, a galaga that made
my cry sold for i believe aroudn $200, it was a conversion, and it was
literally falling apart.  A cocktail multigame went for $900 and it
looked like crap all beat up.  A daytona usa 2 sit down driver went
for $1800.  Not a good day, next time I'm going to take some stuff up
there to sale.  Cause just about everything that I have looks better
then anything up there.

I can say that I did get what I wanted a poker machine, and a fighter cabinet, however I didn't get any of those cheap cabs that I was wanting.

Ah, you got the first pop-a-ball.  I was there too, sadly dissapointing.  I'd say other than the Multicade, the SFII was the best there.  Only thing was the monitor, are those 3-4 lines something that can be fixed, or is it going to require a new monitor?

Edit ---

Do you remember what the bartop multicade went for?  It was in pretty rough shape too, I just wanted the Jamma PCB in there

It went for $900, and those lines are a pcb problem, so not a problem to me cause I put in a pac man with jamma adapter, no lines, centipede with the adapter no lines, kung fu with adapter no lines, you get the point.  But that is why I got it so cheap people probally didn't know that it was just in the pcb, I've had that problem with other capcom stuff, and the monitor hasn't been a problem for me, it doesn't matter to me either cause the thing is going to be turned into a mortal kombat any way, so the pcb can be gone, I've got the pop a ball working, took me about 10 minutes to figure it out, I wish I would have gotten the other one now, cause that is a really fun game, I have to order a bunch of ticjets for it though, cause I've went threw some today.  ANd those 48 in 1 pcbs are alot cheaper then that multicade was around $200.  Did you get anything?

Sorry I thought you ment the cocktail, no I do not know how much it went for aroudn three I think, but it was running MAME not a board.

I used to love playing pop-a-ball in the arcades.

I didn't pick anything up today.  I was hoping it was going to be like the last Super Auctions in Charlotte.  That was my first coin-op auction ever, and I think it might have gotten my expectations up.  Towards the end they were selling fully working games for $25-$35 dollars.  I am still kicking myself for passing up on a dedicated Punch-Out! in great shape.  Went for like $60, then 2 weeks later it ended up on ebay and brougt $500+.

Hopefully SA will return again sometime.  After this auction with very few peices, and the auction before that with very few bidders, they might just cut Charlotte out all together  :(

I wish that I would have went to the one that there was very few bidders, cause I would have racked up, But yeah if they come back I'm taking some stuff to sale.
