Spinner in MaLa (Iron Man related)
« on: September 06, 2007, 09:55:33 am »
Hi,

Got MaLa running and trying to use the TT2 (with wheel) for Iron Man Off Road.

Cannot get the spinner to be recognised in the software though (the spinner works fine in windows - like a mouse on the X-Axis).

I've not used MaLa before and tried to look through all the options, but couldnt see anything obvious - apart from Mouse Control under 'Controllers' - which I enabled, but still no dice.

Once the game had started, I pressed TAB to bring up the MAME menu, but when configuring 'Dial' it didnt recognise when I moved the spinner.

Thanks for any help!

I *Think* that this is an issue with mame as you need to enable mouse input first. This can be achieved in 2 ways.

1. Edit your MAME.INI file (if you use one) in the MAME folder. Locate the line that says "MOUSE 0" to say "MOUSE 1" this will then enable mouse support for all games.

2. The command line that runs mame should include the -mouse option. This will enable mouse input.

Hope either of these methods help.

Regards
