mame or mame32?
« on: September 04, 2007, 10:53:26 pm »
Which mame should I use if I want to use a frontend?
Does it matter?

I've used mame32 because of the easier interface, but am I loosing any functionality?

Dunka!

Mame32 is mame with a built in front end.

Use mame (not mame32) if you are using a different front end.

Nope you're not losing functionality.  MAME32 is just MAME with a built in front-end.  It's just not the most cabinet friendly front end.
