Mute in Mala?

Hi, I'm new to Mala and was wondering if there is a way to set Mala to mute/unmute toggle on a button press? I found the up/down volume key assignment, but I didn't see a mute. I have my Mame cabinet next to a TV,  I love the background music in Mala normally but when were watching the TV it would be cool to walk over and hit a button to mute it.

Why don't you just turn the volume down? Or is it the fact you have to hold down the button instead of tapping it once the issue here?

Why don't you just turn the volume down? Or is it the fact you have to hold down the button instead of tapping it once the issue here? 

Just a convenience thing, like the mute on a remote. It would be nice to have it mute and then back to what it was with a button press. I just noticed that my I-Pac seems to be able to learn the mute keycode of my keyboard though so that may be another option I haven't explored.

I know I'm old fashioned      but I wired up a real volume knob from the amp inside the cab...  Very quick to turn up and down.

I would ask ahofle to add mute to his new volume control application.  It seems like that would be easy for him to add.  See the thread here:
