Where to find cabs
« on: September 02, 2007, 01:46:00 pm »
Hey guys, just trying to get some more ideas on where to find cabs.  I love MAME, but am looking to build up my supply of actual cabs and restore them.  I have checked the normal places like eBay, local newspaper, and craigslist.  Are there any other places I should be checking?  I have not yet checked with the yellow pages to see if there is a supplier nearby - I wasn't sure how cost effective that would be.  I am certianly no millionaire :)

Thanks!

You didn't post where you're located, so it's hard to tell you specific places to look other than what's already been suggested.

Bingo ... when I first started I couldn't find much except on eBay. I am fortunate enough to have auctions local to me every 6 weeks, but they are pretty week (usually a bunch of weak fighters and gun games, along with crap).

None of this compares to the connections with the local collecting community, where I have found the bulk of my classic projects.

Located in Hampton Roads, VA.  If anyone has any leads that would be great.  I am looking for keepers, not mamers.  I don't mind picking up projects that need restoration, but ultimately I am looking for things that will work well in my game room and I am a huge fan of the classics!  Thanks guys!
