Are there "coin" pushbuttons like the Player 1-4 buttons?
« on: September 01, 2007, 12:31:35 am »
I love the Player 1, 2, 3, & 4 buttons on my cabinet.  I have a button right next to the Player Start buttons for inserting a coin, but it has been a request of my wife (to make it easier when our kids' friends come over) , that if those buttons could have a coin image or something on them like the player 1 - 4 buttons do, that would be nice.

So far, all I've seen are people using some sort of sticker that says "Coin 1" or whatever, but I would like an actual button for it.

Any ideas?

How about something that not only has the right label, but looks like the coin slot/return button from the coin mech?

Edit:  There was at one time someone who made custom vinyl labels for buttons (useful if you wanted to use a red button with a 1-Player Start symbol or something along those lines), but I can't remember who it was or if they still do it.

I was actually looking for regular round pushbuttons like the ones below, but with something "coin" related imprinted on them...

Although it would be funny just to glue some quarters to them....

I bought some vinyl stickers for all my admin buttons from Pongo. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64645.0.  They turned out great and were very inexpensive.  Attached are a couple of shots.
DOC! YOU HAVE A TABLE OVER THERE WITH A SIGN THAT SAYS, "LASER DEATH RAY BARGAIN BIN!"

I have regular push buttons there with Quarters super glued onto them, a quarter fits perfectly on top.
I too have vinyl cut outs from Pongo on some of my buttons, he made me Kustom (pun!) Mortal Kombat Dragon start buttons:

I cant recommend him enough, the vinyls are inexpensive and very durable, but  2 quarters and 2 dabs of super glue will cost less :p
