I used to get upset about stuff like that but I think I must be mellowing with age. At least someone is still using it and enjoying it instead of it rotting in a landfill somewhere. After all, we are talking about a mass produced particle board box here, not craftsman built antique furniture. Flame away, guys.

It was plywood, actually, not produced in large quantities and rather well built compared to an average cab. The design was even patented, which may be why we didn't see lots of companies copying it.

That conversion doesn't look too bad however -- it's better than my mine was prior to restoration (which was done by the previous owner).

Interesting; that dude is trying to make a quick flip - it was just sold in this auction a few weeks ago: http://tinyurl.com/3bydrv

there were other games where a conversion could be overlooked.  lots of them actually.  lots of cabs too.

this game was not one of them.  nor was this cab.

that is just as wrong as two men  :censored:ing
Double Diamond  100%
Spy Hunter II  98%
Mame Cab ~65%

I'm the same way. I look at that and my first thought was that at least there's a decent 2-player simultaneous game in it. My second thought was wondering how hard it would be to fit a CPS-2 in there. At least the cabinet will accomodate other games. It's not like that Star Wars upright from awhile back that was converted to Tetris.

Funny thing on the auction...the seller isn't the previous seller or the high-bidder. At least the username isn't.
Brevity is not my strong suit.

At least the second seller has the decency to mention that it is a Joust Cocktail and not a "super rare Alien vs Predator Cocktail" like the first seller ($2000 value, yeah right )
Wish list: Galaga, Pacman, Pooyan, Star Wars cockpit, Gauntlet, Tron

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

Well considering they made over 10,000 Star Wars Uprights and only about 500 Joust cocktails, a 20 to 1 ratio, I would say that this is alot worse of a conversion.

At least the cab is still there for someone to restore...
