Keyboard hack question
« on: April 28, 2003, 05:45:09 pm »
Ok, already have a cab setup with sidewinders and it works great,  but I've come across a few frotends that dont work with game pads and require keys. So,  I've decide that since I dont need a buch of keys, only enough to move through the menus and select games, I would hack a keyboard.   It wasn't hard in the least bit!   But, I noticed that some of the keys aren't  showing correctly?  Basically,  I used the program Keyhook or something like that, I was able select around 19 keys that can be pressed at the same time and dont ghost or cancel,  but now when I try to use some of these keys, they show up as something completly different in mame.  For example,  I selected "f" and on the key mapping program its show as "f", but mame sees it as "calculator"?  Dont know of a Calculator keys so I'm a little confused??    Just though that someone might have had the same experience?

Thanks!
