Game room decor...

So, I've started work on my crappy little game room. 

*EDIT* Room dimensions are 10.5 feet by 20 feet - approximate *EDIT*

I separated from my spouse, due to some infidelity on her part, in May.  That really isn't relevant to the discussion other than to say that I've got a blank slate for this game room that I'm putting together in the garage of the condo I bought.

I've got a whole gaggle o' kids so the decor needs to be somewhat non-offensive.    Some subtle risque humor wouldn't be unacceptable but nothing too crazy.

I've started off by putting up a few throwback or 'vintage' tin signs on the walls and I sort of like that look.

I've got the MAME machine that I built, {documented about a half dozen places here on the boards}, a 'pockey' table, {rotating air hockey/pool table}, a couple pachislos, a dry bar I 'built', and that's about it.  I'm gonna' see if I can shoehorn in a dart board eventually.

What I'm lookin' for is some thoughts/ideas on how to decorate this place...I think the white walls are just sort of...er...{shrug}.

I'm also trying to think of a good way to hide/disguise the garage door rails/overhead mounts.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'll include pix of the space, {from my crappy cell}, in the next post.

I've pondered this a bit myself for my garage. The way your tracks hang down so far, you could almost box in underneath the tracks, then put storage compartments over top of where the garage door would go. That would be a really neat looking project me thinks. You'd lose ALOT of headroom though at the front. I don't have that problem as my tracks are against the ceiling - you know, like the person who built your place should have done.

Yeah, they should have. 

I thought about the storage thing too.  The thing I can't get my head around is how to make it useful for storage without it LOOKING like storage, you know?

If you didn't want to loose the headspace you could have that track relocated up to a few inches from the ceiling.  It wouldn't require much, I'd do it myself, but if you're not into too much of that sort of work I can't imagine it would cost more than a few hundred bucks to have somebody do it for you.
