I have a bunch of buddies coming over on Saturday and my SmashTV ran into some issues.

I need to replace 2 of the joystick leaf switches.  The control panels wires were soldered to the joystick, but unfortunately the little metal piece that the wire is soldered to broke off.  So I cannot just resolder - no place to stick to. :(

Any ideas where I can purchase a few today?  I would overnight/express mail so I get them by Friday.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I've seen this on plenty of installed sticks.  Just solder directly to the leaves, close to the plastic base.  Works fine, absolutely no difference, other than not looking as nice.

Works fine until they fall off from vibration which alwaysy happens when you are about to break a prior high score.  If he can get replacements thats the best thing to do.

Never seen that.  Never even heard of that.  But that doesn't mean it can't happen, I suppose.

That just means you should have soldered better. ;D

You could drill a small hole in the leaf and poke the wire thru, wrap it and solderit good. That kind of connection will never fail.
