burgertime cocktail cabinet question
« on: August 08, 2007, 03:25:51 pm »
Hey guys, got a quick question for you.

I have a really good set of plans for a MS. Pacman cocktail cabinet and was wondering if there was any difference between the Burgertime cocktail and the MS. Pacman cocktail cabinets in terms of construction. The reason I ask is because I am thinking about building a cocktail replica of Midway's Burgertime.

I know that Bally/Midway had some slight variations in their cocktails, for example the Galaga
cabinet had some different cuts and dimensions.

Is there and difference between the two or did Midway use the same style of cocktail cabinet?

There are differences.  The Burgertime and Tron cocktails have a larger cutout on the top than MsPac.  There is an extra speaker grille and the locations of the speakers are different.  That's about all I can think of offhand.  Beyond that, they are pretty much the same on the outside.

Well that's typical. God forbid that Midway would use the same cab. i had a feeling that there would be differences between them.  :banghead:

One thing I have learned in the short time I have been in this hobby, is that if something is simple you have screwed up somewhere along the way.  ;D
