How do you guys feel about how the happ super handles?
It would be greatly appreciated if you could post your feelings about how the supers handle in different games.
It would aslo be greatly appreciated if you could also give an alternative, if you dont like them.
The games that I plan to use the supers for, are games like : The 194x series, the metal slug series and fighter games.
Thanks
Basically, it's a matter of opinion and personal preference -
I think the general opinion on the board would be something like
Happ Supers - 55%
Happ Competitions - 15%
Happ P360's - 10%
Ultimarc sticks - 15%
Others - 5% (Suzo, Wico, etc).
Supers have microswitches with lever actuators. This makes them good replacements for leaf switch joysticks that required a circular motion, such as time pilot, 19xx series and certain fighters. Some people don't like that the levers require periodic adjustment to get the diagonals right.
Competitions have a square actuator and standard microswitches and are better for fighters where it is necessary to "feel" the diagonals.
P360's are very precise and do not click, but are more expensive and require a +5V source.
Andy at Ultimarc sells a line of sticks that allow you to switch between 4 and 8 way easily, which some people like.
