Free Plans for an Xbox Cockpit
« on: August 01, 2007, 06:02:37 pm »
I thought I might make a small contribution by donating my personal plans for a driving/flying cockpit for an xbox or whatever you want. These are presented as is, since were done for myself, they aren't really presented for mass consumption, you'll need to figure them out yourself, I'm not offering any support, these are "as is". I have measurements in blue lines, and the parts are in thick lines. I'm 5'8", so it may be too small for taller people, as I designed it so that all of the parts can be cut from 4'x8' boards. cockpit_plan_assembly.jpg shows it from the side, cockpit_plan_sheet1of2.jpg and cockpit_plan_sheet2of2.jpg show all the parts to cut with inches and part labels, and cockpit_plan_door_measurements.jpg shows how to cut the side doors out.

Enjoy, and please let me know if you have success, I've not built it yet, so I'd love to see how yours turns out.

He said he hadn't built it yet.

Plans look solid to me.  I wonder what size individual most cockpit cabs are designed for.

I don't have pics yet because I haven't built it yet, but plan to after I finish another project. It's really meant to be a quick and easy build, nothing fancy. The only other thing I did was design some generic (since it's a combo driving/flying cockpit) easy to paint graphics.
