  • I want my own arcade controls!
Every few days or so i run in to this very frustrating problem. My joystick seems to moving left and down on its own at random times. I open up the winipacsoftware s that it shows player one and two joysticks. and as i watch them priodicly the first player controler will hold left then release then sometimes it will fix and then two player will go to down poosition and hold? i'm clueless has anyone run into a similiar problem?its not everday too like yesterday it seemed to work fine now today its screwed..HELP!

is it my p360 joystick , my ipac, or maybe wiring what you think?

Could it be the switch on the joy stick?  If it is a Happ joystick, swap the cherry switches (left to right or top to bottom). If the direction of the phantom movement changes, that is your problem.

I'm like 95% sure that this is a wiring problem.  I've had the same types of problems, and more often than not its because some wire is just barely crossing over and touching another wire.  Look through all your wires CAREFULLY, try putting on some kind of game that uses all the joysticks and you can have it set still for a while, *Xmen vs Street Fighter with codes for infinite life on, and in 2 player mode, basically its training mode*  then go through all your wires, and jiggle them to see if anything happens.  I'll bet you you'll start to see some attacks happening that you didn't actually press.  Once you figure out exactly where the problem lies, then its MUCH easier to trouble shoot the wiring, and you can unscrew and rescrew in wires to the I-pac, double check to make sure none of the wires are crossing, etc.
Also, do you have any other interfaces plugged into the controls?  Like did you parallel a psx joystick or something with the I-pac?

I had a similar problem... do you have a USB contoller/joypad connected to your computer? I did, and after I unplugged it everything worked fine.

Firsdt, for those who have problems with psx pad, is the pad hooked to parallel port? I've had this proglem with that.  Get a USB convertor.
