Customs charge from US

Does anyone know roughly the cost of Customs charges when ordering from the states.

The value of the order will be around £220/$450.

Going to what country?  And what shipper?

Edit: Looking at your profile, UK.  Well you'll likely be charged sales tax (again depending on shipper) as well as potentially some duties.

Keep in mind that the higher cost shipping methods typically avoid all of that.  I realized this part way through ordering a bunch of stuff and shipping it from the US.  $38 in shipping is cheaper than $10 in shipping.

That's free trade for ya.

yea, I'm in the UK and shipping is from GGG - think its this method -

United States Postal Service (Priority Mail International Flat Rate Box (6 - 10 days))

And as you say, was about $38.
