Pica vinyl for control panels(in)
« on: March 20, 2002, 10:47:11 am »
is their any other place to get this material besides Happs? I'm simply trying to avoid the "minimum order" B.S. I particularly want this material for overlay because of its durability to sratches and fingerprinting as well as its ease of cleaning. The looks of it are remarkable in my opinion. Thanks for your time.

I just got some off ebay (black 45 feet, 2 feet wide) for 8 bucks (and 9 shipping).  Anyway, it hasn't got here yet so I can't tell you how good it is.

needed to be able to build more control panels and ran out of my black kitchen counter I got from builders square for 10 bucks (had a scratch).

I've ordered from them.  Fast as hell delivery as well!  I ordered a leaf switch Wico 8-way stick and my account was charged the same day, and it showed up on my doorstep 2 days later.

I'd say that's worth more business :)

Plus, joe's right, they got a LOT of cool ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.  Reproduction control panel overlays (including Tron, take a look at the blacklight photos), smoked plexiglass, and a lot of Happs hardware at a much more reasonable price.

Did I mention they got leaf switch joysticks?  :)

Ebay - look for "vinyl plotter" or "vinyl sign"  either one will take you to printing materials.

A guy named bigt@kiva.net is selling it for $5.99 for a 15" by 10' roll.  Just an observation, haven't ordered any myself.

Good Luck!
