WTB: Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 satellite speaker
« on: July 27, 2007, 09:09:04 am »
Recently bought a set of these off of E-bay, and one of the satellite speakers sounds like it has a small pebble in the cone and it vibrates quite loudly when the volume is turned up.

Anyone have a spare for me to replace it with?  Or, I'm even up for suggestions on what I could do as an alternative.

so it sounds blown or when you shake it you hear noise if so it may be a pebble in there.

you could also swap the speaker itself or cut the wires and connect them to another speaker and box.

theyre easy to take apart, if theyre the same as the 4.1 set ive got (I think they are)  just take the grill off and the screws are in the holes the grill attaches to.

I appreciate the replies.  It seems to come and go, so I'm not sure it's blown like I originally thought.  I did take the speaker apart, and it seems as though the 'pebble' is in the cone itself.  I can't shake it out or get to it without puncturing the cone.  Guess I'll live with it until it becomes a constant problem.
