It would be great to play these driving games using my Pole Position steering wheel (ie: mouse hack) or my Spy Hunter steering wheel (ie: Dual Strike hack) but I am not sure whether this is possible yet.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this yet?

I am playing these on my home PC at the moment so I do not have a joystick plugged in.  It seems the Model2 emulator has a "Steering" option to allow a "Joy1" to control the steering.   Does this work when  joystick is plugged into the computer?  If so, I guess my Dual Strike would work, although I have 6 dual strikes hacked and connected via USB hub in my driving cabinet.   Since the "Steering" analog controller is not assignable in the Model2 emulator then it seems only "Joy1" would be allowed for steering.  This might be a problem since I am not sure which of my 6 Dual Strike controllers are considered "Joy1".   Might not be my Spy Hunter steering wheel at all.

I'm pretty jealous of the fact that you have a Spy Hunter wheel.

I loved that wheel design.

Wish I could answer your question.

Model2 emulator will work fine with a analog (270) steering wheel. I've used it many times.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can assign joysticks and axis as needed. I have a PS2 gamepad (primary) and a Logitech steering wheel on my computer, I don't remember having any problem.

You may use different axis for brakes and accelerator (recommended if you have the hardware) or use combined axis (the configuration may be a bit confusing at first).

You'll have to assign controls on a game by game basis, as some games use one axis for brakes and others use that same axis for accelerator. Also, some games expect a floored pedal to register 0, while others expect it to register 65535... Play with the configuration and you'll learn how to assign, combine and invert axis as needed.

Model2 is a great emulator, I'd love to see pictures of your cab running Indy 500 or Super GT 24h!

I really can't remember about Viva Nonno. I *think* played it with my steering wheel. according to the site, it should accept analog pads...

Anyway, I found Viva Nonno less than perfect at the time, with the cars running half way buried  into the ground, lot's of graphic glitches... Barely useful... It's a pitty no work has been done on it lately, Ridge Racer would be a great game to have in a cab.

Might be awhile before I mess around with it.  I still find the emulator crashes on me somewhat with "Invalid Opcode".  Need to try out different games.

Good thing is ...... I already have the Indy500 racing seat .....
