I have a simple question and I hope someone has the answer.  I am using an i-pac 4.  I am wanting to switch between the regular and shifted keys without having to hold down the shift.
Thus giving me 2 control configurations that I switch on the fly.  What I am hoping to find is an arcade microswitch that is NOT momentary contact, but keeps the shift held until I push it again.
Has anybody heard of this?  What is the proper term for a non-momentary switch?   ??? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure I understand what your after, but from Ultimarcs website:

"I-PAC is the ONLY keyboard encoder which can be programmed either with or without host software. Even without special host software, the I-PAC can still display programming steps and current settings, so no working "blind". "

Does that mean it will work the way you want using the host software?

Your best bet would be to get a toggle switch, rocker switch or a pushbutton-if you check a Radio Shack, they have toggles in all sorts of sizes and shapes, and pushbuttons that will do exactly what you want. They just won't look like an arcade button, but some creative hacking should be able to take care of that. Personally, I just went with a rocker switch, I use it to switch from two player/two joystick (aka Smash TV) configuration to four player:
$6.75 the hard way-one quarter at a time.

Thanks Nightgod.  That's exactly the type of configuration I am using.  I already have a toggle wired in and laying inside the control panel now.  I was just hoping someone made a microswitch  that would just pop into an arcade button.  Guess I will have try and make one myself.  With enough hot glue and duct tape you can make just about anything  ;D
