Mala Vertical Screen
« on: November 22, 2013, 07:19:05 am »
OK what I thought was a simple frontend has turned into a nightmare. What I mean is when I start the frontend, I am only getting a complete list of MAME, no other categories. I am using the latest beta build as it supports .mp4 video.

At the moment I am only getting a complete list of MAME which I dont want. I just want a complete list of Vertical Shooters. Can anyone supply me with a complete list of vertical shooters gamelist that I can drop in and use please?

This http://www.waste.org/~winkles/ROMLister/ will help create the type of list you are going for. Mala doesn't have the filtering capabilities to create specific genre/orientation lists.

good day.

ROMlister is what I've used for making lists for years. It's a great tool for streamlining your game lists to fit your set up easily.

thanks for the love!

Beaps, the reason people don't just offer up lists for you to grab is that every arcade machine is unique.  mine is a cocktail cab with 3 buttons with U360's.  yours might have only 1 button and a 4-way stick.  my list won't work very well for you- the list will have games in it you simply cannot play.

that's why romlister was born- to quickly and fairly easily parse through the giant list of available games down to ones that suit your particular cabinet.

hope it does what you need it to.
