If I had a need for a second juke...
« on: July 11, 2007, 02:24:06 pm »
I built a juke last year - I love it and it always draws a crowd at my parties.

However, if I were going to build a second one... I would have to start with this:

Ebay Item number: 330145074841 ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330145074841)

I can't think of a better use for such a stupid game. Maybe someone out there will buy this and realize my dream!

ROCK ON!

My wife shoot me if I brought that home just to play some music on.   That would be cool if I had my own basement with lots of extra space though ....... but there are not a lot of basements in Florida ....  :'(

Strange that you say that...

I live up north a bit (Border between Michigan and Ohio and about 45min from Canada). I have a basement (most houses here do) because you need one so you can go underground to survive the winter.

GLOBAL WARMING... BRING IT ON!

I am converting my basement into an arcade. I like to restore old games instead of one big mame. That way lots of people can play at the same time and you have lots of background noise just like the old days. Tokens you ask? Yes, they all run on .900 tokens (about 5000 or so). The carpet I want will be UV reactive bowling alley carpet.

I have plans for 20 games, currently at 5 games and 1 juke (inside of an old arcade box.)

wondering the same thing - as the game just sees it as a discrete on/off.  can't believe anyone would call this game stupid though, unless they have never played it.  It requires real skill and timing (I guess it can get stale); I would love to have one in my gameroom ...of course I would rig it it up as a real mixer /midi controller too, if it is gonna take up that much space. Last time a beat mania was e-bayed around here (TX) it sold for about $850, I think.

I suspect they would have to be swapped out for real time controllers, maybe some of those "record" style time controllers and real turntables.
