WTB: trackball optic board
« on: April 23, 2003, 03:29:11 pm »
One axis of my imperial trackball doesn't seem to work right.  I'm looking for a cheap replacement optical board, or possibly just the optics.  I'm considering ordering new rollers and an optic board but I thought I'd try here first.

I have a pair from a capcom bowling. They worked when they were pulled 2 years ago.

Make an offer with shipping.

Those aren't exact replacements but the optic sensors might fix the problem on my existing board.  Let me see if anyone comes up with an imperial/wico or happ board first (I think any of these may be interchangeable).

Thanks,
Wade

have you considered dropping OSCAR a line?  he maybe able to sell you just the optics (if they are compatible, which they should be) ... a complete optic board is like 8 bucks or so from oscarcontrols...

I have an extra oscar optic board that was abused that i'm not 100% positive it works =P  that I could give to you to try and futz with...   *shrug*

Rampy,

The optic boards I saw on the oscar controls site weren't the same as a trackball optic board, but I'll ask if he has them or can get them, just in case.  I may have to take you up on your possibly bad board offer... Thanks!  Send me a private email to wadelanham at hotmail.com when you get a chance.

Thanks,
Wade

Well. If anybody else wants those optic boards. $10 gets them (includes US shipping).
