If 7-11 was smart, they'd have spent their money on building stores in Indiana instead of throwing it down the drain with this idiotic promotion that doesn't seem to be working

that proves it, since they are unable to keep enough items in stock, it only proves that they will be out of business in a month....

I happened to be in the area today, so I stopped by the Burbank Kwik E Mart.  Even though the promotions been going for a few weeks, there were still quite a few people taking pictures and checking out everything the store had done (inclunding myself).  They were sold out of Buzz cola, Krusty-O's, Radioactive man comic, and most of their bobbleheads, but I did get myself a pink donut (along with a few other non-simpsons things for lunch).  I took a few pictures, but since pictures of this store were posted earlier, I'll only post two of em.

This is clearly a lie, since you're simply unfamiliar with the appearance of an establishment that is closing its doors in short order

Damn...if 7-11 is going out of business...should I sell my stock?  You know...the piles of losing lottery tickets I've gotten from that no good chain!  You'd think there would be a winner in one of the stores.

It's funny, that a major corporation like that, when faced with a loss as I figure, would close its doors.  You guys are just bad at t3h m@th.

Simpsons movie does very well at the box office. Here is a yahoo article:

http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20070729/118574094000.html

1 snip from the article.
"Dergarabedian praised the film's marketing campaign, which included dressing a number of 7-Eleven stores around the country as Kwik-E-Marts, the fictional convenience stores selling such Simpsons' favorites as Buzz Cola and Squishees."

Does 7-11 have the same parent corporation as 20th century fox?  I could see it working if they were willing to take the promotional cost loss in one area in order to boost the other and make it back.

What loss? 7-11 spends some money to promote the film, and they get their money returned a hundred fold. Remember, ALL 7-11's were selling the Simpsons merchandise, so ALL 7-11's sales were tripled or quadrupled. 7-11 is laughing all the way to the bank.

I said they'd lose money.  Drew said they'd go out of business.

I've been involved in the rebranding of dozens of retail stores in the past year as my employer acquires entire chains.  It costs a lot more than people seem to think.

Kwik-E-Mart gamble pays off for 7-Eleven

7-Eleven Kwik-E-Mart stores double sales

'Simpsons' Kwik-E-Mart Sales Double

'Nuff Said.

Those stories may have facts, but they don't have the experience that Chad does.

Wait?  Maybe Chad's work performance does lose money for the company, while other qualified talented individuals pulled off this kwik-e-mart thing.

The promotion is only half implemented.  The locations still have to be rebranded back to their original appearance... so the costs aren't paid yet.  Of course it looks profitable now, they're in the revenue generating period.
