IPac 2 problem (solved)
« on: July 03, 2007, 12:10:44 pm »
I bought an Ipac 2 from Divemaster, wired everything up and it works fine.....
for a minute or two!  sudden down becomes pause, right becomes tab and some of the buttons didnt work. I know that theres a shift function by holding the P1 start button down, but I honestly dont see how thats occuring. is there anyway to disable the shift function?

Is it because Im using both a USB keyboard and a USB cabled Ipac2? am I doing something wrong?
none of my wiring is crossed or bad, if I unplug the Ipac 2 then plug it back in everythings fine again.

any thoughts?

ok, I figured it out, but instead of editing, I left the problem up there in case anyone has a similar problem.

I have the Ipac mounted fairly close to the P1 start button, the button nut (what ever you call it) was pressing against the USB plug in cord which was in turn pushing the NO prong of the cherry switch against the NC prong, resulting in an constant push loop.

I've shifted stuff around as best as I could, and it all seems fine now.
Now I can play Ultimate MK3 on my MKII machine, my XBOX 360 and my mame cab =)
