BPMer for mac

I'm not affiliated with this company at all.

Now that thats out of the way, I've spent the past 5 days editing ID3 tags until i'm at the point i dont want to even listen to music.

I'm restoring my audio file database in preparation for setting up a jukebox.  Setting it up so that EVERYTHING is within an album of some sort.  My song library at the moment is on an Ibook running OSX 10.4 and Itunes and thats what this little jem works with.

I stumbled upon this when i decided i needed to add beats per minute data to my song library.  The shareware version will do any song in your library as long as the song name starts with a letter between A and J.

Their AccuBeatMix integrates almost invisibly into Itunes also.  their is a little checkbox above the volume slider.  Basicaly It improves the smooth transition between songs if the BPM data is available.

If you need Beats Per Minute data and are running a mac this thing is awesome although it does take awhile to run.   It updates the ID3 tags of the song file itself so when you move your song files, the data stays with them.

LINK to their website.

Sweet!! Thanks for the tip. Sounds like really useful tools. Traktor DJ Studio is an amazing app but if I am having a party, I don't want to have to be slaving over the computer trying to beat match songs. Looking forward to trying this out.

I went ahead and purchased a software key for all three programs today, $29 unlocks all of them.  After a little bit of a hassle getting the activation key accepted, ( It was an error on my part caused by the way i was having to copy and paste, from a pc to jump drive into mac text edit while playing around at work )

I'm actually stoked about it.  I've looked at traktor but never really played with it.  Most of my hardware is PC based.

I came across this while looking for something to automatically add in BPM data.

The Ask the DJ works rather well, although the little dancing chick is annoying.  I'm glad you can turn her off.  To bad you can't swap a different animation in.

I'll be using it this coming weekend once i get all the bpm data put in.

I had sent in a question to their tech support and did get a same day response but i had already figured out what i had done wrong.  Still.. they checked out my error and did get back to me within 3 hours from an online email post.
