Info on this candy cab (Is it worth the price)
« on: July 02, 2007, 11:36:16 am »
Hello all,

I have been looking for a candy and this one popped up in my area. It has a 1 slot neo geo mvs board with metal slug X and samuri showdown 4. He is asking 475 or a trade for an xbox 360 + game.

Does this sound like a good deal or is it too much?

Thanks again!

His pics didn't work for me.

Depends on how bad you want it. I don't think you'll be finding many candy cabs around for much less than that to be honest with you. They're not too common in the states.

I'm a huge candy cab lover (well, any sort of modern cab lover) myself so If I had the coin and space I'd probably go for it, assuming it is of course in decent condition.

I'm not sure I would buy it for that price based on the photos.  The cabinet appears to be very yellowed, the panel has a cig burn on it and needs other repairs.  The monitor also looks dim, but that may just be the flash photo.  I'd definitely look into that aspect before committing.

I like the look of the candy cabs as well, and I might be a little less picky here on the east cost.  But they should be a little easier to come by on your side of the country.  So if I were doing the shopping over there, I'd look for one in nicer cosmetic condition at that price.

If you do buy it, can I snag one of the MVS boards from you?
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I decided to wait, I can get better locally for a hundred or so more.
