Gamepad interfacing issues
« on: June 30, 2007, 05:16:09 pm »
Hey everyone,

Ive just built my fist CP. (pictures soon to come)@ but I'm having a bit of an issue getting mame to recognise the controller.

I've built a 2 player 7 button configuration CP using the new GP-Wiz Eco 32-Input USB Controls Interface  gamepad usb interface. I've stuck all my componets together and tested it all in windows game pad in the control panels window. All of the buttons are working well.

However when I load a game it doesn't recognise the contoller. How do I get it to actually work during a game? I'm using my laptop running Emu loader as the front end and trying to play various mame games (nba jame, TMNT tested so far) . None seem to actually recognise that the game pad as being a the controlling device.

Does anyone have experience with this controller or with gamepads and how to get them working in mame.

Any help would be appreciated

Make sure the joystick is enabled in the controller options.  It should be "all good" after that.  :)

Thanks for the heads up but what is a Contoller options?  :dunno

As I said it shows up in windows control panels "control" section all good.

I can't seem to find any controller options in Emu Load. I be missing something but I have no idea where.

If you are using emuloader then pick emulator MAME and then check MAME settings for Controller.  This is where you should select gamepad.
