hi,

Am trying to find some wire for connecting joysticks and buttons in Ireland, does anyone know if either of these are the same as 22 AWG hook-up wire?

Just going by ampacity, the 3.0A one is between 24-26 AWG, and the 4.5A one is between 24-22 AWG.  For connecting joys and buttons, both are OK.

The smaller wire will work fine, electrically, as long as it is compatible with whatever connectors you are using.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

thanks for the help, I think I'll give the 4.5A wire a go, don't fancy hacking away at cat5  :)
