Hey, I have a spare set of "cheepo" XTD joysticks that I got free with some buttons. I wasn't going to use them, but later decided to give them a try in a cocktail I was restoring. Anyways, I find that although brand new, the joysticks will sometimes slightly "stick" in a particular position. Also, the I have found that the microswitches sometimes won't release until after I have pressed in the opposite direction (even if the joystick has gone back to center).
Do you think that the directional sticking and microswitch issues may be due to poor microswitch quality (Yenox brand switches), or simply that the joysticks are just too crappy and aren't rebounding properly, etc. I have no problem spending $10 to get some new switches from Bob Roberts, but it may almost be worth it to spend an extra $10 and just get two new Happ 4-way sticks instead?
Any ideas would be great.
