Then I still have a looooooooooooooooong way to go-  that means now I have to start looking for Karate Champ, then Dragon's Lair, then there's the driving games, and I haven't even ventured down the Star Wars path yet...  Cripes.

I wish my house came with a basement, however, since I am located in South Florida, there is no real hope in finding many homes with a true hugh basement ....... just a dream ....

You are done buying cabinets when the innernets break for good. Otherwise, never. :laugh2:
You will get to the point when you don't just buy anything. I passed up a working Choplifter for $75 that a guy would have delivered to me at my work place...of course now that I have a bigger SUV that I could haul actually haul it in I may not be so quick to turn it down. >:D

Actually, I'd think she might be quite willing to help you, there.

Shardian: no one at work with a truck to help you out for a quick spell?

I built a shed to store parts and cabs in.  You're not out of space yet.

According to my GF, I have absolutely no room to store my gaming stuff in our house. With the garage being ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- up as it is, I told her ---smurf-poop---. By the next day, I found a dissassembled shelving unit in the shed, threw out all the crap in there, reassembled the shelves, then proceeded to move our book collection, recliner, and a (now empty while I wait for parts) cab out there.

Now I have room.  ;D

Yes, but not on a moments notice. The problem was that there would be nowhere to store the machine until someone could bring it home for me. I just didn't want to deal with the hassle for a machine I didn't really want in the first place.

There is the rub. ;D  You didn't want the cab.  If you had wanted it I bet you could have found some way to transport it home.  ;)

I'm not sure being kicked out and relegated to living in the garage is exactly happy times. Unless you WANT the divorce of course...

Sorry, to clarify. The shelves, books, whatever are out in the shed, not in the garage. The garage has all her crap piled to the ceiling. Far exceeding the amount of physical material I own. My actual gaming stuff, parts, consoles, etc are stored in her craft room.

VINTAGEGAMER

Its funny, I basically have everything I need MAME-wise (a horizontal cab, a vert cab and a bartop with a dedicated Defender/Stargate layout), but now find myself wanting dedicated stuff, which is the exact opposite reason MAME appealed to me to begin with.

I think at 6 machines, I'll be happy. I'd still like a newer Golden Tee, and a couple of Williams games that were my reason for getting into MAME to begin with -Moon Patrol and Robotron. It's kind of a sickness with certain people. I have 3 buddies that are all getting by fine on a single cab. One of the things that screws me up is that I enjoy working on them. I feel lost if I don't have a project going.
