Hi I am going to start offering xbox 360 and now PS3 controller mod's choice's are:

1. hardwired for arcade

this allows your controller to be hooked up to arcade control panels

2. permanet south paw thumbsticks

this swap the left thumbstick function over ot the right and the right functions become the left for a permanent solution for left handed players for the games that do not support this as an option.

3. permanet legacy

this is where the thumbsticks become up/down become reversed where up is down and down is up. can be done to either stick or both.

4. permanet southpaw + legacy

this is combination of # 1&2 above.

6. thumbstick button swap L to R / R to L

this mod swap's the thumbutton clicker function from the left side to the right side and vice versa.

trigger swap L to R / R to L

this mod swap's the left trigger to function as the right and vice versa.

I can even do southpaw + legacy + trigger swap + thumbswap

this mod is all of the above combined

make offers on what it is worth for you to have it or them done I a negotiable.

as offered in my regular bst I also do custom led work too.

EDIT: added some dreamcast examples toward the bottom I can make also.

I forgot to add don't matter if they are hard wired or wireless and it is possible to add a switchs were they can be switch to normal/southpaw etc. but it makes it alot longer of a process and a little tougher.

I also can do any straight wiring of the classic gaming console's if someone wanted to make an arcade controller for them like nes snes sega master system genesis turbo gfx-16 atari neo geo etc.

I also can do the same with other consoles that have the duel analog thumbsticks wireless or hard wired.

I just wanted to drop in and share my experience. I set out a few weeks ago to find some one to switch the sticks for me because I play fps's and tps's on south paw and there are games that just don't let you switch the controls.  I eventually found this forum and northerngames. So I sent off my wireless.

I got the controller back yesterday and jumped on Lost Planet.  The controller runs perfect.  Feels natural, no cosmetic difference.  It is great being able to play games that were impossible for me to play before because of my experience with the older control styles from Golden Eye and the like.  If you have a different preference the the defaults then this mod is totally worth it.  Thanks, Renryu.

RENRYU: glad to hear you enjoyed your experiance with me and my service as expected.

I am still offering this service to anyone who is interested I am not backed up with orders at the moment so if anyone wants there's done I can get right on them when they arrive.

I ALSO DO:
custom cuts on "all" consoles and controller casing's if anyone wants any led mods or cold cathlodes installed

controller mods were I convert console controllers over to arcade controls I straight wire the buttons and joys where all you would need to do is connect the end of the wires to your joysticks and buttons and enjoy.

Southpaw?

People who write with their left hand are referred to as Southpaws.  These hacks switch a few things around so the controller is more natural for left handed players.

O sorry I posted some pictures in my larger bst post toward the bottom

as for southpaw it makes it where the joysticks are swap from left to right function wise where the right analog stick works as if it where on the left side and vice versa I can also do the same with the triggersw and legacy is where instead of up is up it would be up is down and down is up etc.

Also here are a few pictures of my hackball mouse to trackball interface the buttons go on the quik connects and the other end has the 6 pin molex that plugs into the trackball's molex pictures are just the raw material I will hot glue all the wires and put it in a case when done so it looks like a box with wire coming out one with the connects and the other end has the wires with molex on the end and the ps2 or usb cord is included also but not pictured.

will get more pictures if needed or some other models done.

Re: xbox 360 permanet southpaw legacy thumbbutton and trigger swap service

I have had numerious emails and pm's this past 2 weeks asking if I still do these controller mods and mouse hackball mods and wanted to post that I still do offer these type service's.

here is a finished recent project done with dreamcast controllers connected to a db-25.

I recently added the analog function after the pictures were taken and have it on a 4PDT switch to change from analog to digital so all dreamcast games are 100% playable.

Northern - How much would it be to get a DC -> DB25 like that?

I've been meaning to get around to wiring up my CP to DB-25  basically so I could easily swap between my JPAC and a DC

I've got a decent amount of intrest in these in the past 2 months so I have revised the title and top a little to explain better what all can be done to the controllers.

I am ready to do more if anyone has an intrest in having their controllers done.

depending on how long of wire is needed and how many buttons are going to be used and if you want the triggers and such done also.

$35.00-$40.00 with return shipping & tracking included.

I can also do them DB-25 but same as above I would need to know how long the wires would need to be.

I was emailed late last night about a 360 southpaw controller mod and I did not get to read it until today along with a follow up email that stated:

 Hello,

The reason I need one is that the left and right triggers on my current southpaw controller are not working!

Unfortunately, I found a new southpaw controller on ebay last night and bought it already.  I paid $199!!!  Crap!

Oh, well.

please come to me before paying anything like that it made me sick  :dizzy:

Chad (northerngames),

I got your message below. I thought you said you could do them as you requested the part numbers before I sent them. Can you tell me when you know you will be able to do them or not by? If you cant do them obviously I would like you to send the 4 six-axis back to me and refund my $340 if you cant mod them.

Hi I ran into a bit of trouble with these.

there a version pcb that I have never seen or done before usually the pots have 3 legs and these have 4.

I am currently tracing this pcb type out so they can be done the correct way but as far as I know these have not been done by anyone yet and I could not find any info on them on the net.

this has delayed me becuase I am figuring out what goes where but I am about 80% done with geting it figured out.

if these where like the other six axis I am use to I would have had them done and on there way back days ago.

please let me know if you would like for me to continue and do them or if you want me to send them back with a refund.

I almost have them figured out though.

refund sent and I will be sending the controllers back tommorow.

I am swamped with controls right now and these ps3 six-axis versions I am stumped with and not going to offer service for any ps3 stuff anymore.

I am still doing the xbox and xbox 360's but I have 9 sitting here to do so it may be better to wait another week before anybody decide's to send me more.

also could you post you recieved your refund so I dont look like some rip off now it would be appretiated thanks.
