To trackball or not?? Newbie question
« on: June 14, 2007, 10:10:08 pm »
I'm in the process of planning out my first cabinet.  Recently from helpful tips from the folks here, I've decided to build my own CP rather than purchase a pre-built.  However, I'm having trouble deciding whether or not I want a trackball.  The only games I even remember playing with a trackball were Golden Tee and Tiger Woods golf.

What's the consensus here?  Trackball worth the trouble installing?

Also, if I do decide to go with a trackball, with the 2 1/4 inch work on Golden Tee and other games rather than the 3 incher?

Thanks for any input!

I would say definitely go with a trackball, but honestly, its all personal opinion and budget options.  It is definitely necessary if you plan on doing an windows navigation without pulling a mouse out.  Also, tiger woods and golden tee are really fun!  There are also some really cool bowling games you can play.

I prefer the 3" ball myself  :dunno

go with the 3"

but if you happen to find one there is nothing like playing missile command with a 4"

Let's not forget...there isn't just golf that uses a trackball....the afore mentioned missle command, Centipede and Milipede..Tempest actually plays very well with a trackball...many other games....my first cabinet didn't use a trackball, and I regret it everytime I fire it up. The nice thing too, it functions as a mouse so it makes routine PC maintence a snap

Marble Madness was one of my favorites.  I would do the trackball as well.

It's the only thing I have hooked up so far and I can't manage to stop playing :banghead:
